Our Story
Brandon McGowan is a former elite Team USA hockey player turned entrepreneur, innovator, and founder of Little Rhody Drones, Rhode Island’s premier aerial imaging and drone services company. After earning two Junior National gold medals on the ice, Brandon faced a life-altering spinal injury that ended his athletic career—but not his drive. During recovery, he envisioned a new path—one that combined creativity, cutting-edge technology, and a relentless desire to make an impact. In 2020, Brandon launched Little Rhody Drones, offering cinematic drone photography and videography to luxury markets—from high-end real estate to private yachts and world-class resorts. By 2024, his mission evolved with the creation of Rhody Drones Search and Rescue, a specialized division that supports emergency responders with drone-based search, rescue, and recovery operations. Today, Brandon leads a dual-purpose company that serves both luxury clients and first responders. He has developed custom drone software, trained numerous police departments, and continues to push the boundaries of what drone technology can achieve—from stunning visuals to life-saving missions.
